Brittany’s Song
Words and Music Jonathan White
It was a Labor Day to remember when she came into this world
it was the day we had waited for so long.
Then the Doctor came and said to us with worry on his brow,
we’ll have to take her down the hall with us for now.
The word came back the very next day, your girl will be just fine,
but she will have some special needs unlike yours and mine,
but she will give you lots of love the kind that’s seldom seen,
and now I know she’s the child of my dreams.
She’s down right beautiful, she’s my little girl,
she’s down right beautiful, and she fills my world,
with lots of love, lots of smiles, and she’s happy can’t you see.
Yeah she’s down right beautiful to me.
Now she’s growing up oh so fast I can scarce believe my eyes,
it seems like only yesterday when I’d hear her cry,
now I know the day will come when she’ll go away,
till then she’s down right beautiful to stay.
She’s down right beautiful, she’s my little girl,
she’s down right beautiful, and she fills my world,
with lots of love, lots of smiles, and she’s happy can’t you see.
Yeah she’s down right beautiful to me.

Wayfaring Stranger
I am a poor wayfaring stranger,
travelin through this world of woe.
Yet there’s no sickness, no toils or dangers
in that bright world to which I go.
I’m goin there to see my Father,
I’m goin there no more to roam.
I’m only goin over Jordan,
I’m only goin over Home.
I know dark clouds will gather round me,
I know my way is rough and steep.
Yet beautius fields lie just before me,
where Gods redeemed their vigils keep.
I’m goin there to see my Mother,
she said she’d meet me when I cross.
I’m only goin over Jordan,
I’m only goin over Home.
He Looked Beyond My Fault and Saw My Need
Amazing Grace shall always be my song of praise
for it was grace that bought my liberty,
I do not know just why He ever loved me so.
He looked beyond my fault and saw me need.
I shall forever lift my eyes to Calvary,
to view the Cross where Jesus died for me.
How marvelous the grace that caught my falling soul,
He looked beyond my fault and saw my need.
Simple Things
Another day is waking up as I stumble to my feet.
Down the stairs Your waiting there at the secret place we meet.
And I wasn’t long on my knees til I heard You whispering.
That the greatest things in this life are found in the simple things.
And I closed my eyes, and I searched for words.
Words to describe this thankfulness I feel inside.
And my heart begins to sing a song of gratitude to You.
A song of praise for the simple things.
So much to do, so little time, we hurry through each day.
We seldom see the blessings God has placed along the way.
The simple things that make us laugh and sometimes make us cry.
The little blessings God has placed in each and every life.
And I closed my eyes, and I searched for words.
Words to describe this thankfulness I feel inside.
And my heart begins to sing a song of gratitude to You.
A song of praise for the simple things.
A childlike faith is such a simple thing.
That’s all He asks a searching heart to bring.
And I closed my eyes, and I searched for words.
Words to describe this thankfulness I feel inside.
And my heart begins to sing a song of gratitude to You.
A song of praise for the simple things.
I Just Can’t Wait
I have heard of a place where tears are shed no more.
I have there is laughter and joy forever after.
And I’m longing for the day when I’ll sail beyond the blue.
Lord I just can’t til I’m finally Home with You.
I just can’t wait for I have got a longing to go.
I just can’t wait to see my brand new Home.
When You come back for me, all my dreams will come true.
Lord I just can’t wait til I’m finally Home with You, I just can’t wait.
I have heard there are loved ones waiting on that Shore.
Angels choir singing, and welcome bells are ringing.
Soon I’ll join their welcome song, when my traveling days are through.
Lord I just can’t wait til I’m finally Home with You.
I just can’t wait for I have got a longing to go.
I just can’t wait to see my brand new Home.
When You come back for me, all my dreams will come true.
Lord I just can’t wait til I’m finally Home with You, I just can’t wait.
I just can’t wait for I have got a longing to go.
I just can’t wait to see my brand new Home.
When You come back for me, all my dreams will come true.
Lord I just can’t wait til I’m finally Home with You, I just can’t wait.
Butterfly Kisses
There’s two things I know for sure, she was sent here from Heaven
and she’s daddy’s little girl, when I drop to my knees by her bed at night.
She talks to Jesus and I close my eyes and I thank God for all of the joy in my life.
Oh but most of all…
For butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer
sticking little white flowers all up in her hair
Walk beside the pony daddy it’s my first ride.
I know the cake looks funny daddy but I sure tried.
Oh with all that I’ve done wrong
I must have done something right.
To deserve a hug every morning
and butterfly kisses at night
Sweet sixteen today, she’s lookin like her momma a little more every day.
One part woman, the other part girl, to perfume and makeup from ribbons and curls
Trying her wings out in a great big world
But I remember…
Her butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer
sticking little white flowers all up in her hair
You know how much I love you daddy but if you don’t mind
I’m only gonna kiss you on the cheek this time.
Oh with all that I’ve done wrong
I must have done something right.
To deserve a hug every morning
and butterfly kisses at night.
All the precious time,
Oh like the wind the years go by
Precious butterfly spread your wings and fly
She’ll change her name today, she’ll make a promise and I’ll give her away.
Standing in the bride room just staring at her, she asks me what I’m thinking, I said I’m not sure.
It just feels like I’m losing my baby girl, she leaned over…
Gave me butterfly kisses with her momma there, sticking little white flowers all up in her hair.
Walk me down the aisle daddy it’s just about time, does my wedding gown look pretty daddy,
Daddy don’t cry, Oh with all that I’ve done wrong I must have done something right.
To deserve a hug every morning and butterfly kisses, I couldn’t ask God for more,
Man this is what love is, I know I’ve got to let her go, but I’ll always remember.
Every hug in the morning, and butterfly kisses.
Problem Solver
Well I know the Problem Solver and Jesus is His name,
He can take the storm that you are in He can make the winds to change.
So keep your eyes upon Him even when the waves get high,
if your looking to the Problem Solver He’ll make everything alright.
When the storms of life are raging who do you run to,
when the problems in this world are more than you can bear,
well I know a Man named Jesus He can help you,
upon Him you can cast your every care
When Job went through the fire who did he run to
when Peter began to sink who came to rescue him,
well Jesus is His name He will deliver,
if you will completely trust and follow Him
Well I know the Problem Solver and Jesus is His name,
He can take the storm that you are in He can make the winds to change.
So keep your eyes upon Him even when the waves get high,
if your looking to the Problem Solver He’ll make everything alright.
Closer Than A Brother
In a world that’s so confusing it can turn your head around.
Your looking for direction, but you feel more lost than found.
You try to go the distance but your heart can’t take the strain.
I know Someone Who will be there to help you start again.
Someone Who is closer than a brother,
It’s Jesus, yes Jesus.
He will love you more than any other,
And wash your sins away.
I’ve been so many places and I’ve seen so many things.
I’ve heard all the easy answers and the questions that remain.
In all my endless searching, I have never been alone.
He’s always been beside me and that’s all I need to know.
Someone Who is closer than a brother,
It’s Jesus, yes Jesus.
He will love you more than any other,
And wash your sins away.
It’s Jesus, yes Jesus.
He will love you more than any other,
And wash your sins away.
I Bowed On My Knees And Cried Holy
I dreamed of a City called Glory, so bright and so fair.
When I entered the Gates I cried Holy. The Angels all met me there.
They carried me from mansion to mansion
Oh the sights I saw, but I said I want to see Jesus.
The One Who died for all.
Then I bowed on my knees and cried Holy, Holy, Holy.
I clapped my hands and sang Glory, Glory to The Son Of God.
Glory to The Son Of God.
Then as I entered the gates of that City, my loved one’s all knew me well.
They took me down the streets of Heaven, all the scenes too many to tell.
I saw Abraham, Jacob and Isaac, talked with Mark and Timothy.
But I said, I want to see Jesus, The One Who died for me.
Then I bowed on my knees and cried Holy, Holy, Holy.
I clapped my hands and sang Glory, Glory to The Son Of God.
Glory to The Son Of God.
A Little Light
Sometimes, it’s hard to tell who needs just a little light,
Sometimes it’s hidden well, everything seems right.
But the more I look the more I see
everybody’s lookin for a little light in me.
You never know who needs a little light,
you never know when the times right.
So never say never no matter whoever’s in sight.
You never know who needs a little light.
Sometimes the blind can’t see all they need is a little light.
Sometimes they need you and me to shine so bright.
Cause if the blind lead the blind, they’ll never see
If they don’t get a little light from you and me.
You never know who needs a little light,
you never know when the times right.
So never say never no matter whoever’s in sight.
You never know who needs a little light.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine,
I’m gonna let it shine, let it shine
You never know who needs a little light,
you never know when the times right.
So never say never no matter whoever’s in sight.
You never know who needs a little light.
You never know who needs a little light,
you never know when the times right.
So never say never no matter whoever’s in sight.
You never know who needs a little light.
Watch The Lamb
Walking on the road to Jerusalem, the time had come for sacrifice again.
My two small sons they walked beside me on the road.
The reason that they came was to watch the lamb.
Daddy what will see here, there’s so much that we don’t understand.
So I told them of Moses and father Abraham, then I said dear children,
Watch the lamb
For there will be so many in Jerusalem today, we must be sure the lamb doesn’t run away,
And I told them of Moses and father Abraham, then I said dear children,
Watch the lamb
When we reached the city I knew something must be wrong,
There were no joyful worshipers no joyful worship song.
I stood there with my children in the midst of angry men.
And them I heard the crowd cry out…
Crucify Him.
We tried to leave the city but we could not get away,
Forced to play in this drama, a part I did not wish to play.
Why upon this day, were men condemned to die,
And why were we standing here where soon they would pass by?
I looked and said, even now they come, the first one begged for mercy,
The people gave him none.
The second one was violent, he was arrogant and loud,
I still can hear his angry voice screaming at the crowd.
Then someone said, there’s Jesus, and I scarce believed my eyes,
A Man so badly beaten that He barely looked alive.
Blood poured form His Body from the thorns on His brow, running down the Cross,
And falling to the ground,
I watched Him as He struggled, I watched Him as He fell,
The Cross came down upon His back , the crowd began to yell.
In that moment I felt such agony, in that moment I felt such loss,
Until a Roman soldier grabbed my arm and screamed…
You carry His Cross.
At first, I tried to resist him, then his hand reached for his sword,
And so I knelt and took the Cross from The Lord,
I placed it on my shoulder and started down the street,
The Blood that He’d been shedding was running down my cheek.
They led us to Golgotha, they drove nails deep in His Feet and Hands,
And yet upon The Cross I heard Him say, Father forgive them…
Oh never have I seen such love in any others eyes,
Into Thy hands I commend my Spirit He prayed and then He died.
I stood for what seemed like years, I’d lost all sense of time, until I felt two tiny hands,
Holding tight to mine, my children stood there weeping and I heard the oldest say,
Daddy please forgive us, the lamb ran away…
Daddy, Daddy, what have we seen here, there’s so much that we don’t understand.
So I took them in my arms and we turned and faced the Cross…
Then I said dear children,
Watch The Lamb.
I Talked To Someone About You Today
Today again I met a Friend of mine, down at that old familiar place.
It’s where we met to spend some time and talk together face to face.
Shared some thoughts about the family, that everything was going fine,
paused a moment then He asked me if there was something on my mind.
I Talked to Someone about you today, I told Him what your going through,
and when I finished what I had to say, I found that He already knew.
He said to tell you that He’s praying too, He thinks about you all the time.
Talked to Someone about you today, somehow I knew you wouldn’t mind.
Somehow He knew what I thinking, He read my mind just like a book.
Somehow He knew your heart was breaking, somehow I know He understood.
Then He put His arms around me just before we walked away,
He held me close as thought to tell me that everything would be okay.
I Talked to Someone about you today, I told Him what your going through,
and when I finished what I had to say, I found that He already knew.
He said to tell you that He’s praying too, He thinks about you all the time.
Talked to Someone about you today, somehow I knew you wouldn’t mind.
Quiet Time
When my heart feels so heavy, when troubles try to crowd my mind.
I just steal away to be with Jesus and there we spend some quiet time.
As we walk through green pastures I take His Hand and He takes mine.
Then He leads me beside still waters, such perfect rest my soul can only find,
In quiet time alone with Jesus, Oh what joy what peace sublime,
What a blessed sweet communion, how I love this quiet time.
As we walk through green pastures I take His Hand and He takes mine.
Then He leads me beside still waters, such perfect rest my soul can only find,
In quiet time alone with Jesus, Oh what joy what peace sublime,
What a blessed sweet communion, how I love this quiet time.
What a blessed sweet communion, how I love this quiet time.
How I love this quiet time.
House Of Gold
I’d rather be in a deep dark grave and to know that my poor soul was saved.
Than to live in this world in a house of gold and deny my God,
And lose my soul.
Some people steal they cheat and lie,
For wealth and what it will buy,
But don’t they know on the judgement day.
That gold and silver will melt away.
I’d rather be in a deep dark grave and to know that my poor soul was saved.
Than to live in this world in a house of gold and deny my God,
And lose my soul.
What good is gold and silver to, if your hearts not pure and true.
Oh sinner hear me when I say, fall down upon your knees and pray.
I’d rather be in a deep dark grave and to know that my poor soul was saved.
Than to live in this world in a house of gold and deny my God,
And lose my soul.
I’d rather be in a deep dark grave and to know that my poor soul was saved.
Than to live in this world in a house of gold and deny my God,
And lose my soul.
Thinking About Home
A penny for your thoughts I said to the old man,
As he sat there on the park bench all alone.
With silver hair and wrinkled brow, eyes gleamin,
He smiled and said, just thinking bout my home.
I sat down and we shared some laughs together
and the cinema of remembrance did roll
We talked about life’s gains and it’s losses,
but mostly he just talked about his Home
He said I’m thinking bout Home, thinking bout goin Home,
Dreaming bout leavin here ready to be movin on,
It wont be long before the sun will set and I’ll be gone,
But until then, I’ll be thinking bout my Home,
I said tell me old man where’s your home and what’s it like?
He said, Oh ain’t nothing round here that compares.
You see a King had it built and gave the deed to me,
And all of my family’s already there…
That’s why I’m thinking bout Home, thinking bout goin Home,
Dreaming bout leavin here ready to be movin on,
It wont be long before the sun will set and I’ll be gone,
But until then, I’ll be thinking bout my Home,
It wont be long before the sun goes down and I’ll be gone,
I’m thinking bout my Home
Seasons
Lord I don’t understand, what I’m going through,
but I’m putting my trust completely in You.
For by Your design, Your will and Your plan
I can go through the seasons while Your holding my hand.
There are seasons, reasons. Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall.
There are seasons, reasons. Winter must come, God planned it all.
With Spring and Summer, and Fall in the past.
The cold winds of Winter have now come at last.
But don’t fear the dark hours that Winter may bring,
for in Spring time the flowers will bloom again.
For the Father knows best and through every test
He is making me into the image of His Son.
There are seasons, reasons. Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall.
There are seasons, reasons. Winter must come, God planned it all.
